Return Policy

Returning Merchandise

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund.  Any return shipping costs and restocking fees will be deducted from the refund total.  Upon return, your item will be inspected, and exchages, credits and refunds will be issued for the purchase price only. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with state laws. Shipping charges are non-refundable with the exception of damaged or defective merchandise. Return shipping and re-stocking fees may apply.  All returned products must be in the original packaging; otherwise additional charges may apply.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item button. We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are custom-made upon order and are non-cancellable, non-returnable and non-refundable with the exception of manufacturer defects or damages. Custom orders are final sale. Customers will have 4 days from placement of custom orders to cancel. After 4 days, a 50% deposit will be retained by Garden Cottage and cannot be refunded.

Final Sale & Clearance Items

Clearance items are considered final-sale items and cannot be returned.  Clearance items may include "Sample Sales", "Floor Models" and merchandise sold in the Bargain Area of the Morristown, NJ Garden Cottage retail store. All clearance merchandise is sold as-is and merchandise may be priced according to quality.  Any missing parts, pieces, or materials may not be available through Garden Cottage.

Personalized Items

Personalized items are considered custom orders and are non-cancellable, non-returnable and non-refundable.
