One of the oldest and simplest of weaving constructions, Chilewich’s four-over-four Basketweave has become the most important vehicle for expressing our unique chromatic point of view—from deep earth tones and shades of metal to our distinctive interpretation of brights.

Cleaning
- Cleaning is easy. Simply wipe the mat with soap and water, and allow to air dry.
- Mats with visible food residue can be sprayed with soapy water, scrubbed with a soft-bristle brush, or soaked in soapy water and then rinsed.
- Do not clean with alcohol-based cleaning agents, as they can break down TerraStrand yarns over time.
- Citrus-based cleaning agents are also not recommended, as they can cause discoloration.
- Do not wash in dishwasher or washing machine. Do not iron or dry with heat. A high-temperature sanitizer may be used up to once per week.
Storage
- Store Chilewich placemats flat.
- Table runners may be rolled.
- Do not store wet or allow mats to fold or crease.
- In case of creasing, steam using a handheld garment steamer on the lowest heat setting.
